A vintage checkerboard carpet, hand woven in the Moroccan region of Boujad, a widespread area between the Middle Atlas and the Atlantic coast. Carpets from this region are known for their rich colors, many pattern combinations, and few traditional rules.

The warm vibrant hues of this beauty blend into one another creating a feast for the eyes. Muted plum, soft oranges, buttery yellows, teal, and cream.  

The warp of this rug made of soft wool, while the weft uses recycled textiles. This is combination commonly seen in older rugs, as wool is an expensive resource. 

Low pile, perfect for a lounge room, under the dining table, or bedroom.
